Abstract: To better understand how visual signs contribute to contemporary antisemitism in the United States, this report includes descriptive data findings from the Swastika Counter Project’s investigation of 1340 swastika incidents that occurred between January 2016 and January 2021. In this report, we provide in-depth accounts of not only where, when, and how swastikas surfaced across the United States but also who they targeted, what messages they conveyed, how they were reported, and how communities responded.
